We want to buy a vcr/dvd combo that can record from vhs videotapes to
DVD.Also record straight from the video camera on to dvd if possible
If we buy a vcr/dvd recorder will this do that, and the vcr/dvd player will
not do it ?
Any advice would be welcome ,it would be great if we could do this a we have
lots of holiday tapes etc.
TIA

BTW this is the sort of machine that does exactly what you asked.
Not that I am recommending it or the source. Just the pic & details.

Have been researching exactly these same type of toys this w/e.
I will certainly post my findings. They may help.
I have had my VCR die, and my DVD Player is starting to find more
often that it will not recognise certain newer types of disks.
I am looking at DVD Recorders with HardDisks too as these offer a
whole set of other possibilities.

I have the Holdan 1000, it's described here:
It's proved excellent and I can watch 1 thing while recording another.
It also has RGB output on 4 channels and switches SPDIF and stereo (but
not optical).
