Alan Freeman died today aged 79, after a short illness. Another icon of an
era has departed this mortal coil. :(

He will be missed! :-(( I accquired a tape (reel to reel) of the pick of
pops when I bought a reel to reel tape recorder from ajumble sale. I
remember the number one being "popcorn" RIP indeed. :-(

Some months ago I saw a TV programme about a home where retired show bizz
people go, It showed Alan and he looked dreadful, I could hardly recognise
him :-(
