OH has had this habit for quite some time of muttering "sheesh" to bits of
things. Annoying now since he doesnt even enlighten as to meaning. Just
says he was thinking out loud,or says something equally daft. Anyone know
what it *really* means ??? I love him to bits, but this is getting to me.

and some times i would go to say s**t and change it to Sheesh ;-))))

He's just venting, I guess.
I do it all the time, but I use stronger language. (g)
It's a kind of catharsis, a way of expressing either

surprise, or disapproval perhaps.
I was thinking the other day, how it might be good
for the health, to vent one's emotions somehow.
Why don't you just ask him what the "sheesh" is for, each time?
You might start some interesting conversations. (g)
What does OH mean? ( __?__ husband?)

thing. Perhaps I won't ask him each time - it might be something stronger
than I'd wanted to hear ! You ask what OH means... In my case it just
means Other Half. Did you think it meant Other Husband ? ?

Oh, it means "Other Half". I didn't know that. Good idea!
LOL ... about "Other Husband" (g)
I use "DH" for Dear Husband... (not Dumb Husband). (lol)
About not asking each time, that might be very wise. (g)
I read somewhere that "not knowing" can be a form of self-defense.
Sometimes it's better not to know. (g)
