Baldrick...
Any happy, (or unhappy) people on here who have had experience of
uSwitch.com ?

Yesterday, I made the switch via their website from EDF to Scottish Power,
with an estimated saving of £186 a year on our electricity account.

All views appreciated.

Clive...
Didn't have any problem using uswitch to swap, but the saving estimated
were way out.
I changed because of poor customer service, but managed to save =A350
per year, uswithc site said I would save approx =A3150

jamps...
Just a word of warning when switching suppliers.
I've switched twice (now with Scottish Power) and in both cases the
estimated savings looked good but very optimistic!

I *was* paying a fair amount less for 12 months but, in both cases, I
finished up at the end of the year in debit so my monthly direct debit
payments for the following year were increased to what I had been paying my
original supplier. :-(

Making allowance for the increased cost of energy I didn't save as much as I

Baldrick...
Many thanks for that.

I have been able to look at my kwh usage over the last year and the
estimated saving 'did' seem about right, however, even if they turn out to
be no more than a saving of 30 quid, it's still a meal out for me and her
that I may have not been ale to afford :-)

was led to believe.
