It was reported on Radio Derby this morning that a power interruption
affecting some residents in a Derbyshire location was traced to an
underground cable fault.

Derby, you say???...
Well, it couldn't have been Boo that caused it! - Cos she (says she)
never touches nuffink! (except for when she "takes the side off it"
& "blows enthusiastically" to make it Fixted...
:-)

Attempts to route around the fault to restore power were tried from five
different sub stations. This couldn't be done because all five had had
their earth tape ripped out and stolen.
The chances some folk will take for a few bob, eh!

I saw on TV that thieves were taking copper from cables even from near
railways, is this what happened do you think?

It's not going to stop there either, the way the price of copper is
rising it will soon be more valuable than gold.

No Jackie, this is another incident.
As Wally says, "It's not going to stop there" :(

There's organised gangs in Yorkshire who've been nicking the copper
signalling cables from railway tracks. Now that could put loads of others
at risk.

Well, maybe Boo *did* try to make it Fixted?...
& she might have "taken the side off it" & "blown enthusiastically"
on it?
Or maybe she tried to "tentatively press stuff that looks like it
may have jiggled loose" & she may have left some bits of Copper still
loose, so someone else then came along & instead of Pressing it in a
bit harder picked it up & walked off with it?
