I broke my foot: :( I had a 32" million pound TV in the
MCC...
|
Ouch! That sounds really painful, John.
Just you take care and get well soon.
|
Rabbit...
|
Oh dear me John what are we going to do with you, you just can't be let
loose on your own :-)
Take care now and I hope it gets better soon.

I don't do anything all day Rabbit. Honest, it's nothing.
I never like that big TV anyway in that room so now
it's gone & it will give me something to do, looking for
a new & smaller one. Take care, dear.

guest room perched on this weird rig that I dreamed up
a couple of years ago. I decided to move it a bit & it fell
off the stand & landed on my foot. I'll spare everyone the
zany details.

Oh dear, I do hope the TV survived intact John? ;-)

Tickettyboo...
|
Oh John! What a shame
..what colour is the cast? Do you get to have a crutch and a pirate's
eyepatch too? We will forward the parrot asap!
Parrotfish...
|
I can be ready to go as soon as John sends the ticket !
Isn't it Betty-Ann's turn for pampering after her op ? Tch !
But, seriously folks.......... I hope the foot isn't too uncomfortable.
|
Now, hop along, there's a good lad!
|
Aries...
|
I don't know John, what are we going to do with you! I bet you are hopping
mad with yourself ;)
|
Stephen Baker...
|
Ouch! sorry to hear that John, I know you like soccer (football) if you
get chance to watch the Liverpool v Man Utd match keep your eye on Alan
Smith, my eyes still water at the thought.
|
This is "Simpleton Manor" so stuff like this happens all
of the time. DUH!!
John:
Parrotfish...
|
I've gone *right* off you #8 ...... ;o)
|
Ps I signed my cast myself. My wife refused & Tom &
Deb would write something goofy so I alone signed it,
"Get well Soon, #8" LOL

3 did the TV survive the onslaught?
John #8...

Not really, FN. My son along with a couple of his buddies
hauled it to the dump. It was a big Panasonic. This is my
room. I play with the PC, read, & watch TV. I called "Paul's
TV" (ha) & they're delivering a nice 24" Toshiba tomorrow.
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
Downsizing I see!!!
Mines a 28" Panasonic Flat Widescreen. :)
Rabbit...
|
Oh well if we are boasting. I've for a 32 inch Samsung LCD HDTV ready here,
delivered today It's still in the box mind you 'cos that AMTRAK delivery guy
wasn't the most pleasant of delivery persons ( he didn't like it when I
signed the delivery receipt as I normally do as unexamined) when I asked him
if he could bring it in. So I hauled ( Ok slid it) it into the hall where it
waits my nice friendly TV guy to come and set it up for me :-)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
Show off.
Rabbit...
I supposde by the time they are showing most things in HD the price of a set
will be very cheaper thasn at present. So a good Tyke will wait. You
Scots have still got a lot to learn. LOL
Rabbit...
|
Believe me this was a bargain price, not a lot dearer than a new CRT set. We
Scots have learned when to spot a bargain and grab it ;-)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
So you'll be selling it on at a profit in the near future then? :)
|
|

|
|
Christ, the older I get the crazier I become. This is just the tip of the
iceberg. LOL.

Smokey...

Sorry to hear that John, hope you are not in too much pain

Hi Sandra: Samsung has really come along as a best buy
in electronics. You should have many years of viewing
pleasure. Smart girl. My Panasonic has HD which I pay
a little extra for. It still doesn't have many HD programs but
Rabbit...

We don't have any HD television broadcasts yet John and when we do get them
( possibly on one channel this year) it will cost an arm and a leg. I just
wanted a new television and thought I might as well make it as future proof
as I can 'cos I don't intend buying another one :-)

You did the right thing, dear. HD is really nice. As I mentioned
before we have sports & a few (but not many) other programs
in HD, but the snow-ball is roiling & every once in a while a new
show comes in HD. Funny when I was a kid & TV was new we
received 3 channels. Only one was clear. Now I get a billion channels
& I always moan "blasted TV, nothing on tonight." :-)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...

I've always got dust and an indoor aerial on mine John. LOL
|
|
|
it's great for sports & my soaps. (Young & the Restless &
Bold & the Beautiful) my favorites. The HD combined
with the plasma screen gives you the strange feeling you can
enter a third dimension. Anyway I really spend to much money
on stuff I don't need. I'm old, sick & nuts. It's a disease.

seller list, you know.

Paul Jeffree...

As the others have said: Ouch!
Reckon your is for this time..
|
~~seadancer~~...
|
Oh, John! That's terrible! Sorry to hear that.
You certainly didn't need that on top of everything else.
Hope you're not in any pain.
I took an ibuprofin today for my tooth/ear ache.
It really helped me feel better and I was able to get
some chores done. My sister has sciatica and she takes
one ibuprofin every time she wants to play tennis. It works!
Not sure if you're allowed to take it, but if you are, it helps.
How long must you stay in that cast?
John #8...

It's not so bad, dear. Thursday the doctor is putting a plastic
devise just on the foot. It hurt for a day & then the pain left
the building. (just like Elvis ). I really can't take pain pills
except Tylenol because of the old ticker. This cast was annoying
so I called the doctor & he is cutting it off. Probably should have
put the weird plastic cast on in the first place. It's nothing, Sea.
As a simpleton & a long time member of the Connecticut branch
of the "Flat Earth Society" we take broken bones in stride. :-)

Glad to see you in good spirits, John.

So you finally found something hat snake oil won't cure :-)
Just an excuse to put your foot up and become a couch potato I say..
Timely tip.... snafffle one of Betty Ann's knitting needles to deal with
that annoying itch :-)
