Banana...
Don't know how long I will be able to contain my excitement.

Looking at the amount of ice in there, the tides around Britain may have risen
significantly by midday.

Smokey...
Mid day ??? You'll be lucky......................lol

momentarily ashamed!] so

Splodge...
Oh yes, I remember the defrosting ordeal, the bowl of hot water, the hair
dryer, wringing out the cloths, the soaking wet floor.
Thank you Banana
Splodge, breathing a big sigh of relief

Anita Carter...
I used to cheat and use a plastic spatula - oh what a difference in time

Anita Carter...
Well the ingredients are right - but not enough for an entire dinner ;)

Anita Carter...
Hahahahahaha ;)

that made ;))

Rabbit...
A rubber hammer is excellent in helping things along too.

Anita Carter...
One good reason for purchasing a frostless freezer then ;))

Anita Carter...
A tip that might come in useful ................... whilst you are waiting
for the big defreeze to finish - go get some glycerine. When you have dried

Ali...
Isn't dynamite just glycerine absorbed in sand?

the freezer completely - coat it with a very thin layer of
glycerine............. I know it is mucky but I found it easier to do using
my hands (mind you glycerine is good for the hands).
The next time you defrost the ice will just fall away :)

Jackie...
I remember you mentioning that some time ago Anita, I always do that now and

Anita Carter...
and

it is so much quicker!!

Anita Carter...
Yes, one of the tips I used over and over again - never failed to work:)

MCC...
Where do I get this glycerine from? Boots?

Rabbit...
I buy glycerine from Boots it's their own brand and quite cheap.

Anita Carter...
Don't know if you will find the glycerine in your boots, Mike;)
Any chemist sells it the bigger chemists will probably sell it cheaper
though :)

two Very hot-water bottles in, with a small towel under them. The latter
saved some mopping-up.
