Good morning everyone from a cool Cornwall - my thermometer tells me it is
only 5°C outside - please waken me when it is Spring :-))

Down at 4°C overnight here, but warmed up to a roasting 7.8°C (46°F) right
now. No food for the fishes in the ponds today, there water temp is down at
6°C.

Rabbit...

There was definitely the first frost here through the night but that has
left today with blue up above, no WFTs but a decided chill in the air. Still
a nice autumn day even if you need to dig out a sweater to enjoy it.

Thinking of those who are not very well - hope you recover soon. Extra
special thoughts for those who have lost someone dear to them.

We had in excess of 70 children call last night - they were, without
exception, well behaved, well mannered and a joy to see in their costumes.
And many of them were kind enough to say something complimentary about my
pumpkins :-)

Morning Mike. I am pleased that your visitors were well behaved and said
good things about your pumpkins. We had a similar number of visitors and,
like yours. all well behaved. Himself has a carved pumpkin and a witch on
display, the latter equipped with sound effects (a mobile phone) which rang
at random intervals - oh ok then just every time he put his hand in his
pocket and operated the remote control. Kids thought it was fun though

Sounds like you had a good Halloween, they must all know you and said `round
to Mike's place`I bet you enjoyed it too. Very quiet here, never heard a

Only it isn't really too good cos its noisy round here o my mni-jolliday.
High winds tonight and what sounds like either hail or very thick rain
round here in Ups Northern Territories. Think I am going to be a Southern
Softie and pass on the morning walk with my pals the Hairy Gang in a few
hours time.
Have had a lovely couple of days here, oodles of cuddles with my newest
funsize friend who is so much bigger than the last time I saw him. Will be
off back home again today, providing the wind doesn't blow the plane in
the other direction and we end up in Norf Norf land visiting Jerry Attrick
( get the kettle on Jerry, just in case!)
Have been busy, but have had a quick peek in here now and then, nice to
see new names appearing, welcome to Grannie Annie and anyone else who has
arrived recently. Always good to meet new folk :-)
Right, may try for another couple of hours sleep, sounds like the wind and
rain have died down a bit. tch ! Thought the countryside was supposed to
be quiet? Nightbless :-)
