Snow photos from Shetland

Jerry Atrick sent me two photos of the snow in Shetland yesterday.
I've put them on his website for him.

Are you really, really sure that's in Shetland?
My recollection of Shetland was that although they do get snow, it
never lands - it just blows horizontally straight across the islands.

We have a similar amount some 3 miles away up the valley. It's sleeting
like mad there at the moment. So much so visibility was down to about 50
yards in places. Here at home BYT is shining.

Well I am astounded to see these photo's on SS's. I just sent them to MCC

They are very nice ones Mike, thank you, Jerry takes a good photo

for interest as to our present weather conditions being mindful a picture is
worth a thousand words.
As always MCC has my full consent to do as he wishes with photo's I send
him, but I never expected him to post them as I consider them just mediocre
snap shots. Going by the wonderful response to them, I am both grateful to
MCC for posting them, and certainly most grateful to you all for all your
kind remarks, "thank you"!
Will just have to try harder in future for better quality photo's to have
posted for you all to see.
Oh yes we still have snow in the hills, and at lower levels too in places.
Present weather is beautiful clear skies, temp 1.8C, and a light northerly
wind

I am sure the quality of the pictures are lovely Jerry but you don't
have to be too particular
I for one just put up any photo I think interesting, some of your
pictures would make lovely
birthday or Chri**mas cards they are so good.

Oh those look nice with the BYT shining on the snow. Wasn't there a lot
more last year though ?

Wow not seen snow like that since the early 70s :)

Not a lot really. And I expect it has all gone now because the temperature
is 4ºC up there, just a degree or so colder than it is down here in
Cornwall.
