Ray.Milne...
I know a lot of people like to be kept aware of what the Team is doing, and
any changes etc that have taken place.

jackie...
It is good to read how the S & R is getting along and you need all the
support you can get, it is a marvellous job you are all doing and your work
should be more widely know and properly funded. Just thank God there are
people like you and your group.

BunnyHare...
Sounds as if you are going from strength to strength. great that you
have such a good rapport with the other services in the area, too.
I am sure Goose doesn't mind sharing you with the S and R team
sometimes:-))
The Gloucestershire S and R - (S.A.R.A.I.D) were kept busy at the Cheese
Rolling yesterday

The Cheshire S+R Team website has been updated, and is now a bit easier to
read. Multi colours have been removed and a lot of the spelling has been
corrected. There are still a few but these will be sorted as time goes by.

Rabbit...
I noticed that just last week :-) I was mailing the URL to a friend to have
a look at and Googled for it.

Tickettyboo...

Revamped site looks good Ray, thanks for letting us all know how things
are going. Oh, and don't worry about leaving Pam on her own, we all pop
round and have wild parties while you are out :-)

Ray.Milne...
I did wonder about all the crisp packets and empty G+T bottles/glasses.

Tickettyboo...
long as you didn't notice the scuff marks from when we danced on the table
:-)

Pam the goose...
Boo, that wasn't fair letting him know that. Now he knows why I'm usually in
bed fast asleep by the time he gets home. He thought it was just the
bleeding brain making me tired!!

Tickettyboo...
LOL , well I just wanted to remind him what he is missing:-)

Pam the goose...
You're making him want to bunk off Training Nights so he can be here with
you lot.
That's not good for him:))

The photo page has been updated and is due for another change after
yesterdays rope training day. 16 Team members are now qualified from basic
rope safety to slightly advanced rope safety, myself having been promoted to
No.2 on the training days.

Rabbit...
Well done all and I'll refrain from commenting on you being number 2 ;-)

We could now be called out to assist with a rope rescue and I think we'd
manage it very well.

Training is ongoing in ALL aspects ranging from Basic First Aid to Advanced
Casualty Care/First Responder.

Due to a change in the internal discipline code one member has been
terminated and ALL other members now have to have a CRB check through the

Rabbit...
That's a bit drastic, remind me never to get on the wrong side of you :-)

Ray.Milne...
Ooops, should have course read "had his membership of the Team terminated"
Who do I think I am, Arnie.

Rabbit...
Nah you speak better English :-)

Team. (Before we would accept an employers CRB check)

We've had our first evidence search, 16th May, and this followed a very busy
week assisting Greater Manchester Police and Cheshire Police, (3 consecutive
days).

GMP have asked us to cover a part of their area as it it easier for us to
get to it than Bolton MRT, and we are hoping to visit Merseyside Police for
a discussion about S+R cover pending the merging of Cheshire and Merseyside.

We have been informed that Cheshire Police are sending us a donation to
update our water safety equipment, plus some rope safety and training costs.

Following on from the evidence search we now have 2 x CSI equipment boxes
containing Tyvek coveralls, overshoes, gloves, disposable cameras etc, all
from Team funds, but hopefully on a "we use them you replace them" idea with
Cheshire.

On a personal note I now seem to have become "more" qualified within the
Team. Apart from Communications and Equipment Officer , Scenes of Crime
Training Officer, No.2 in Rope Safety Training/Use, I've got Basic First
Aid, Advanced First Aid, First Responder, CPR and Team Countersignatory for
the CRB checks.

I am also one of our Team Training Officers in respect of Communications and
the use of various Equipment.
(I am retired and now have all the time in the world for family
pursuits?????????????)

Rabbit...
Well done to all who donate their time to such a good cause and thank you
Ray for the update.

A VERY big THANK YOU goes to Goose for her support and for allowing me to
disappear at inconvenient times for however long it takes, and to members of
this newsgroup for your continued support in looking after her when I do.

Pam the goose...
Ahhhh, how lovely, ta muchly:)

Yes, I agree with thanking the members of UPS, without them I couldn't let
you wander off!!
