A far too early good morning from a damp and chilly Cornwall. No snow or

Dry, very sunny and very frosty. The ice on my car windscreen is just
starting to go now that its no longer in the shade, despite an air
temperature of -1.5°C (29.3°F) It was
-3.7°C (25.3°F) at 00-30 so goodness knows how low it got overnight.

There was no frost when I went to bed last night and you have to look
closely at Mrs Overtheback's garden hut roof this morning to see any sign of
it.It's Walter and the BYT, warm at the front out of the shade but chilly at
the back in the shade.
I'm stuck here marooned with a trench along the road. They came last week
( or was it the week before?) and dug up the middle of the road and
resurfaced it and disappeared round the corner. They came back yesterday
morning and started digging up the edge about 3 or 4 feet wide. I thought
they would have filled it in as they went, I was wrong, they are back
digging this morning after leaving cones all along the road last night. I
suppose I *could* get the car out if it was an emergency but I really don't
fancy reversing it over that trench, it's quite deep and the large number of
huge repair vehicles would make an manoeuvre a bit dodgy. I've just had a
look and they have disappeared again so I've no idea how long I'm likely to
be marooned, if I go out I might not get back in. I'm starting a book BTW on
how long after I have a nice resurfaced road it will take the
gas/leccy/water people to come along and dig a hole, they always do that
don't they :-(
Good morning one and all.
|
Hope you and yours are all well or, if poorly, on the mend.
Going in to Falmouth later this morning - there's just the chance of a
bacon butty!

Hope your roads are clear from snow and ice and that you do indeed enjoy a
bacon butty LOL
|
Meanwhile I'm back to bed to see if there's any sleep to be had :-)
Somehow I doubt it.

Perhaps as well Val, moving is so stressful especially if you are not
feeling a 100%

later in the year.
