Can you tell me if this link works please ?
sure whether I did it right or not.
It is the Laughlin (Nevada)River run, an annual event, I want to send the
link to someone who wants to take part in it next April.
TIA
Pat

Works fine Pat, some lovely bikes there!

As you don't use MesNews Jackie I've done a screen capture for you. Now
you can see what that O-\O represents to the right of my signature -
it's my ikkle bike! LOL

Gareth...

If you were using MesNews as your newsreader you'd be able to see my
bike too. ;-)

I'd lke to think the majority of people in the froup have moved on from
stuff like MessyNews.
Does the fact that no-can can see your bike tell you something?

But lots of other Newsreaders (& not just MesNews) support the
(completely Non-Standard) "X-Face: " & "Face: " Headers, don't they?
|
Gareth...
|
I didn't say that no-one can see my bike but posts like yours certainly
tells me something!

I use MesNews, I enjoy using it, and I can see Gareth's bike :D It's all
about freedom of choice isn't it :)

ok. My confusion arises from seeing only a regular black and white
X-Face, in your case in the message above a spider, and nothing else
except a O-\O fptf® in Gareths signature.
But in the headers I see reference to a Face, which I assumed was the
O-\O fptf® as I had nothing else to relate it to.
Face doesn't work for me, neither does the O-\O fptf®.
If these things only work in MesNews, why?

And to show you how other MesNews users see your post here's a screen
capture again - click on "Ray's Reply"

Bit of a mess, innit?
Gareth...

Most things will look a mess if you use them too much which is why I
only have the one in my signature.

I truly don't know why they only jbex in MesNews, there must have been a
call for it - I guess the only person to know more would be Monsiur Arnaud
the French developer.

Quotefix *could* show them - if the extra gifs were added, and the config

Hmmmm, interesting :)
Ali...

Quotefix, and possibly MesNews, can replace *any* given string of
characters by a gif. Of course, if no-one else has that string set to that
image, it's going to be a very private joke.

You explained that purrrrrrrrfectly Val!
Aries...

I wouldn't call the gifs a joke - they are just smileys that can be seen.
Ali...
|
That would depend on what gif replaced what word. :^)
|
And if you think about it, not all that many posters see X Faces either!
Actually I know quite a few folk who use Mesnews :) And I wouldn't go
back to Outlook Express if you paid me ;) I do also use Dialog as you
know but that is another story ;)
