How do you clean the screen of a TFT monitor?
Jeff Gaines...
|
Very carefully :-)
A lint-free barely damp cloth to wipe it and a similar, dry cloth, to
dry it.
Turn it off before you clean it, be gentle, and don't sneeze on it!

That's useful to know Jeff, mine has got Tipex all over it

You can use the delete key if you want to Wally, saves a fortune in
Tipex :-)

I forgot to say I had been reading about some laptop cleaning cloths and
wondered if they would be ok to use, but your method will be fine.

I am very careful never to touch it so it doesn't get fingerprints on it.
It looks ok at the mo' and I just dust it with a clean duster, but wondered
if there was a special way to clean them.

Pat, I use moistened tissues (Opticlear) to clean my glasses. Once I have
cleaned both pairs I just use the tissue to gently clean my TFT screen.

I wash my glasses under the hot tap & dry 'em on a towel....
Not recommended for TFT tho ;-)

I dunno though, a quick squirt with WD40 should drive the moisture out ;-)
