BunnyHare...
A few pictures of our visit to Westbury yesterday if you would like to
see

Anita...
Once again a great selection of photos - thanks barb :)

BunnyHare...
Thanks Anita
Still finding my way around the camera but having fun doing it

Aries...
replied in another place but I didn't mention that ancient Holm Oak - wow
what a huge tree !

BunnyHare...
It really was and very interesting shapes on the bark
Hard to imagine that it may well have been there from the time the house
was built still survives

MCC...
Nice! I had to press F11 to get full screen, and then I could get the whole
picture on my 17" monitor at once.

BunnyHare...
Hmm, maybe I'd better go back to 800 x 600 - Thanks for the comment

MCC...
No! Don't do that, please, just because of my comment. I think what pushes

BunnyHare...
Wasn't just you who commented though and I am always pleased when people
make constructive comments.

your photos down the screen is all the information above them. Is there any

BunnyHare...
above them. >Is there any way you could put that under the photos, but
*not* the 'previous',

way you could put that under the photos, but *not* the 'previous',
'thumbnails' and 'next' links? Also you have added a nice border around

BunnyHare...
Could do that, then people might miss the comments. Maybe that wouldn't
be a bad thing :-))

your picture which has probably added 50 pixels to their size. If you could

BunnyHare...
probably added >50 pixels to their size. If you could arrange it so that
the finished photos *including* >the border measure 1024 x 768 pixels
then that would be perfect - for me at least ;-))

Yes, this was the first time I added a border and I resized before I put
the border on so maybe I should try resizing after

arrange it so that the finished photos *including* the border measure 1024
x 768 pixels then that would be perfect - for me at least ;-))

Then along would come somebody with just a 15" monitor, or a widescreen
laptop, for whom they would still be too big

You'll never please all of the people...

BunnyHare...
That's true. Just as well I didn't put them up straight from the camera
or they would have been 2592 x 1944!!

Rabbit...
And don't forget straight from the camera risks Plusnet closing down your
web site 'cos it's gone over the bandwidth allowance. BTDTGTTS. Ask JoeH if
you need confirmation.

BunnyHare...
Yes, I remembered about that :-))
Better behave then

Your blue flower is Convolvulus Tricolor (Royal Ensign) - Dwarf Morning
Glory. It's related to Bindweed :-))

BunnyHare...
Thanks. Thought it looked a bit like bindweed, very pretty
Still I quite like bindweed when it is in flower in the hedgerow, just
don't like it in amongst my veggies

MCC...

May...
To MCC - Then the Conolvulus Tricolor is the *weed* I shall invite and
encourage for the next planning. Have a darkish fence - 6ft high- North
facing- will it be happy there??

MCC...
Convolvulus Tricolor only grows to about 12" tall so it would hardly cover
your fence, Marg

May...

Hahaha ....pardon my pink face. !!!

Try some climbing Nasturtiums - they'll grow 6 foot and more in a summer.
The poorer the soil the better they'll bloom - and don't feed them. If they
get fed they produce too many leaves.

May...
--------------

May...
(but I still think the Convolvulus Tricolor is very pretty)
Will it tolerate another position, (or in a pot, even ?)
I imagine the flowers must be quite small.

To Bunny Hare - Thanks for the lovely pictures from Westbury (Where is
it?)

Marg :o)
Your blue one is a hardy annual, the Common Bindweed seems to be a hardy

BunnyHare...
I see JRT answered this afternoon when I was out at a meeting.
Now that we are both retired we are taking advantage of our bus passes
and getting out and about in the County (Gloucestershire)

perennial, because it is a right brute to get rid of completely. Leave one
little bit of root and up it will come again.
Attractive flower in the right place, though, as you say.

John the R-T...
Great but rather large pics. Width and height I mean.
Westbury is a place we have promised to visit but when..........
ISTR that the interesting blue pot was filled with hot water or embers
and the lady of the house stood over it in order to keep warm.

BunnyHare...
Thanks for your comments. I used to post 800x600 but then I read in
another group that anything smaller than 1024 x 768 wasn't worth
considering! Ah well, I am prepared to listen and learn

Rabbit...
The advice I got was that if you have them at 800 x 600 you don't need so
much compression for a web.

BunnyHare...
OK, next time I will try that

Good idea about the pot for the lady of the house to keep her nether
regions warm :-))

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Thanks for showing those Barb

Foxy at w*rk...
Lovely picture Barb, and quick to load too :-) Thank you

BunnyHare...
Thanks Jen. There are lots more buttons on this camera to explore. One
day I will find out what they all do :-))

Tyke...
Thanks Barb.

I love getting my "fix" of the UK with SiSu pics :-)

BunnyHare...
Good, isn't it? You get your fix of the UK, we get our fix of Australia
and all the other places where Upsers land and we don't need to move
from our chairs

~~seadancer~~...
A lovely collection of photos, Barb.
Looks like you had a beautiful day for the visit.
The canals are so pretty. What a pretty place!

BunnyHare...
Thanks sea.
Yes it was a lovely day and the gardens were pretty.
The National Trust has tried to recreate the gardens as they would have
been in the 1700s and also plant the type of plants that were grown then
next
