uker...
I've recently got another printer scanner. So to try it out I scanned a bank
note into it. Which w---ed. But when I tried to print it, I got half a note
things into printers now?

pmj...
It's not encryption.

But yes, many Graphics Software Programs & Utilities (& also Scanner
Drivers & some Printer Drivers) are now including special Routines which
check for if Banknotes are being Scanned or Images of them are
being Edited or Printed.

Both the American & British Governments put pressure on the
Manufacturers, cos modern Scanners, Software & Printers are now
so very good at faithfully & accurately reproducing things like
Banknotes.

Rabbit...
Oh I must have a go at that and see if it's on our notes. What value note
was it ?

uker...
It was a £20 & I tried both sides of it. So it's not just the number that
stops it printing. it goes about a third of the way on either side then puts

Just scanned and printed a Bank of England £20, a Clydesdale £20 note and a
Clydesdale £10 and all printed OK. They might be older notes though.

Ali...
Your confession has been noted. Is your scanner an older one?

Jeff Gaines...
All modern scanners have this, you need to use older scanners for bank
notes :-)

uker...
It's not the scanner that's the problem it's the printer part.
As for you Rabbit you always were lucky. So when you've printed a few of
those Clydesdale's ones off are you going to take me out seeing as I can't
afford It. LOL

Rabbit...
Hey even the Bank of England one I have here was OK. Will I print you off
some and send you them ??? Usual commission rates apply :-)

uker...
What printer are you using? Mine is a Epson ESCX3600

Rabbit...
Epson R220 but maybe you had a newer note.

Tickettyboo...
I don't see nuffink, but I do see sumfink :-)
