Help!
When I did O level Anatomy, Physiology and Hygeine at school I was taught
the heart was of 4 parts - the left & right ventricle at the bottom and the
left & right *auricle* at the top.
Now what's happened in the time between then and now because Ray, on S&R
courses, has been taught the top of the heart consists of the left and right
*atrium*.

The jargon has changed but hearts haven't. "Auricle" is a bit old
fashioned.

Anybody know anything about it?

An older name for the left and right atria of the heart.
I got confused because they seemed to change the names between my first and
second CABAG (coronary artery bypass and grafts) operations

I think atrium is just the same meaning as auricle - see here might help.

Good thing I enjoy reading things like that cos what I was looking for was
the last sentence!!
Thanks, FN, I had begun to wonder if my bleeding brain had altered fact.
Glad to hear I'm right in what I was taught:)
An aside - nice to see cwc.net is still around. If it weren't for them we'd
probably still be ignoring puters.

The pages haven't been updated for over 7 years and the guest book is
unavailable. Looks like he's gone elsewhere.

cwc went elsewhere, too:)
It's amazing you can read any of his site, mine disappeared years ago!
They must have forgotten his server:))
