Splodge...
Cor - that were fun.

Rabbit...
Come on now, was it News of the World fun or The Sun fun ???;-)

pmj...
Yep!
:-)

Interesting & fun!
:-)

It's really great, what can be done usin gthings like NetMeeting,
isn't it?

When the other person can *see* exactly what you are seeing (& doing!
) on your Screen, it's *so* much easier to get probs sorted,
isn't it?
& it means you can quickly & easily find out about & learn how to do
all sorts of useful things.

Third time lucky, at long last we've copied my data using the new DVD

pmj...
Yep it was a doddle, really, wasn't it?

Just like r@y said - "you seemed to be having an inordinate amount
of trouble, with doing something that should just work"!

The only real prob (as it turned out was a slight (major!)
Incompatibility between the Blank DVD Disk that you had
& the DVD Burner.

Strange, but that can sometimes happen.

re-writer. The poota only seems to like DVD+R and not DVD-R, which is a bit

pmj...
Yep _ think it may well have just happened to be that particular
Brand (or Batch?) of DVD-R Disks - cos the DVD Drive you have
(a LiteOn one) definitely *does* support both DVD-R & DVD+R Disks
(& it also supports DL (Dual Layer) Disks & DVD RAM Disks as well.

odd.

pmj also helped me with my disappearing text. Although I'd sorted it by
clicking on nearly every button I could find, it seems that altering the
size of icons and text may have contributed.

pmj...
Yep, but now you know how you can change the Window Size & Move it
around etc, you should be able to work around any similar probs.

& you've also sussed out how to get the various Buttons & Icons that
you want on all the variosu toolBars in the OutLook Express Windows.
(& how to Move them around to where you want them & remove the ones
you don't want etc,)

A late question for pmj - does that mean I have to copy my data a bit more
frequently than yearly now?:))))

pmj...
LOL!!!
Well, you only ever need to Copy (Save, Backup) anything that you
really don't want to lose!!!

If you don't mind risking the possibility of losing everything,
which may have taken you Hours, Days, weeks, Months or Years to
Create & Accumulate, such as your Pictures & Letters & Documents
& SpreadSheets & Names & Addresses & eMail Addresses & Phone Numbers
etc, then you never need to do any Backups at all!
:-)

Wotta sweetie he is. Ooooh look, he's blushing.

Rabbit...
Chocolate I presume ???;-)

Rabbit...
Piccies please :-)

pmj...
Hey!
I thought we'd finished the NetMeeting!
:-)

Besides, I don't use a Webcam, so you couldn't tell if I *was* blushing!
:-)

Tickettyboo...
pmj ?? Blushing ??? LOL I'll buy tickets to see that one!
but yes, he's a star on a stick :-)

Splodge...
In 2004 when I was in Vancouver, I went on a coach/ferry trip to Victoria
for the day, and on the way we passed loads of small boats whale-watching.
Trouble is, by the time you've seen the whales and got the camera lined up,
they've gorn. Most uncooperative:))))
I hope Boo has more luck than me.
